lol being closer to a quicker player is bad cus it makes it easy for him to blow by you i think he means you give a little space not enought that the offencive guy has engouh room to take a wide open shot but soo soo you can stay infront of him if he explodes to the basket

yeah many people did misunderstood him. he ment the opposite. If your faster then you can get closer to the slower offensive man. If the offensive man is faster you want to sag off a little bit so you wont get burned.

I don’t agree with being closer to a quicker player. Also, I don’t know if this is because I always play with older guys, but I never like to let my counterpart get closer than me to the hoop, so I like to get him a little shove to keep him back. Personally, I think its hard-nosed, but thats my opinion.

if you get too …
if you get too close to a faster player… they can burn straight past you… just like if you were playing soccer lol. give him a little distance but not too much otherwise you give them an open shot

I don’t agree with his comment that if the offensive player is quicker, you should play closer and if he is slower, you should be further away. If you play a quick player too close, you’ll likely get pwned. lol
