So I just recently started really getting into basketball and I’m at the center position. I tend to stand around at times because I do not know what to do and I get in the way of my teammates. When somebody drives the lane, I tend to get in the pathway but If I were to move elsewhere, he would become double teamed and possibly have the ball stripped. So the big question here is what to do when somebody drives the lane and your playing center? I know I need to get out the way but it is not as simple as that. Thanks.
Take a step to the opposite side that way if he misses or get doubled teamed u are right there

You should try to put a body on the man without fouling or try to draw a charge. If he becomes double teamed and stripped return to the man your defending or try to get the rebound.

let him drive but try to get position to get the rebound that way your team would have another pocession
