Should I do my basketball workout everyday?

I’m 13, and I really like playing basketball. I have a simple workout:
Stretch
Calf Raises- 30 x 4
Crunches- 50 x 2
Wall Sit- Max
Pushups- Max x 2
Stretches

I’ve been doing this everyday for a couple of weeks, and already can jump at least an inch higher, but I was wondering if it would be more productive to do this every other day… Also, if you have any suggestions of other exercises I could include unto my workout, they would be very deeply appreciated. Thank you.
To Cody- Shut the f*ck up. Do you know what shut the f*ck up mean? You have absolutely know idea who I am, and therefore have no idea of my basketball skill. For all you know, I could be the best player in my town or the worst in the country. So don’t go making judgements unless you have solid evidence to back them up with… stupid.

I have plenty of basketball workouts you can do to improve your skills set, if you are looking for that than shoot me an email: dannym@innovativeathletes.com

As far as your above workout, I really like it and I am glad to hear it is helping you jump higher.

that’s actually pretty good i think. since there’s really no weights involved, I think it would be OK to do this every day. Another thing that you could add that really helps w/ alot of things w/ basketball is jumping rope.
Good luck and stick with it!!!

That’s a decent start. if you want to really be good shoot 1,000 jump shots a day. You can incorporate those workouts in shooting drills.

sorry dude, your methods are incorrect. You are training endurance, not strength and explosiveness. Go to freetoflyy.blogspot.com for more info

it’s great that you are training, but you have to make sure that you work on your endurance, not just your strength. If you can you should be jogging or even better, interval training. You may have lots of strength, but if you might not be able to make it down the court a couple of times, if u know what i mean. Make sure that you are strengthening both sides of your body, so that they are at least equal strength. You could hurt your self if you don’t. an excellent training technique is a exercise ball. It’s really great, and gives a great muscle workout. Depending on how serious you are with playing bball. But remember don’t over do it, your muscles Will be sore. Oh! and after a work out you should eat lots of fruits like oranges and banana’s. they’ll help gain lost vitamins and help the pain when you wake the next morning!
