Germany, Part 2
At one of the gyms in Reutlingen; Theodore-Hauss-Sporthalle. I caught a couple of under-14 kids watching me from the other end of the gym and challenged them to a game. Thanks to those kids for stepping up to play me; I don’t remember their names but they will know who they are when they see this. Maybe I’ll challenge 3 players next time, then 4, until (if) I lose one.

Germany, Part 3
I’ve posted a rope-jumping vid as part of Live This Summer Or Die This Summer a few months ago. My man Wes put me on to using the rope back in college for quickness, and dammit, he was right.
This one shows my basic structure without the aid of a stopwatch: I go by number of jumps (50 or 100, 150, 200, etc.), and a set numer of sets (anywhere from 5-20, depending). Jumping rope has helped with my quickness, jumping, speed, “bounciness” and explosiveness (I feel really “springy,” as Wes said one day, when I’m consistently using the rope). Any athletic player (or player who wants to be athletic) needs to be using the jumprope in some way in their workouts.
