Romeo Miller (formerly ‘Lil Romeo) and Demar DeRozan sign their letters of intent to play basketball for the USC Trojans at a press event on Nov 19, 2007 at the Four Seasons, Beverly Hills.
Romeo Miller (a.k.a. Lil’ Romeo), teen rap star and former star of the hit Nickelodeon show “Romeo!”, is taking a new turn in his young and very successful career. The teen star will be graduating from Beverly Hills High School this spring as an honor student and will be awarded a full scholarship to play basketball for the prestigious University of California. The 6 feet, 170lbs high school Point Guard has been averaging 15 points and 9 assists per game. Hoopersonly.com ranks Miller as one of the top 15 high school PG’s in the nation. This is a history-making move for the young award winning entertainer. Despite all of his success, he has never faltered from his studies in school. His love for basketball has become another personal milestone in his life.
Demar DeRozan is ranked the #1 high school Shooting Guard in the nation by the LeBron James Nike Camp. The 6-foot-7, 205lbs- DeRozan averages 24 points and 8 rebounds per game at Compton High School in Southern, California. He is considered the jewel of a Trojans class, which has ranked in the top ten for high school players for the last four years. According to Slam Magazine, “…DeRozan is ranked as one of the best guards in the country…he is NBA bound.”
